Port Villa itself is the capital city, but the airport is in walking distance and you can walk around the city in less than 2 hours.
As a tourist you should visit some of the other islands:
Tanna is known for the vulcano yasur, which can be climed. On top you will have a spectacular view of the crater and as the sun beginns to set, you will see red magma upwelling from that hole in front of you.
An other thing to do, is to visit one of the remote islands. But be carefull, you need to get the permission from the Chief. So make sure you have your accomodation booked and the Chief is informed. There you dont need any money, an well there are no ATM or Shops, Restaurants or electricity. You will have a host taking care of you, you will get 3 meals a day and water. A small hut and planty of time to stroll around or relax on the beach.
